Safe haven baby adoption california.
A baby safe haven is a place that a birth parent can leave their newborn baby safely such as a hospital or fire station and not be prosecuted.
Realistically it is virtually impossible to ask for and expect to adopt one of these children unless you are already approved and registered with a participating adoption agency that receives a safe haven baby.
A safe haven for newborns is dedicated to saving the precious lives of newborns from the ultimate in infant abuse abandonment and assisting pregnant girls and women in crisis.
Safe haven laws allow parents to leave an infant at a designated location usually a hospital police station or fire station and as long as the baby has not been harmed the parent will not be punished for leaving them.
In most states with safe haven laws a parent may surrender the baby to a safe haven but is some states only the mother may relinquish the infant.
Safe haven laws generally allow the birth parent to remain anonymous and to be shielded from prosecution for abandonment or neglect in exchange for safely surrendering the baby to a safe haven.
